June/July GEM Awards Recognize HCM All-Stars

At HCM, we’re dedicated to improving lives through better workplaces. However, we also know that it’s important to recognize the people who make our workplace better.

We established the GEM Awards to give recognition to some of these team members who have “gone the extra mile.” Nominated by their colleagues, these HCM employees demonstrate their dedication in the work they do each day.

For June and July’s GEM awards, we recognize a few team members who stepped up to the plate when big challenges came up, and hit home runs.

Ashley Collins - Event Content Manager

As one of her colleagues put it, when trying to describe Ashley Collins’s stellar work, “Where do I begin?” One teammate calls her “a rock star,” when it comes to organizing and sourcing content for events. Before and during events, Ashley works hard to make things run smoothly, contacting and setting up speakers, then making sure that everyone stays updated about logistics. Some of her most impressive contributions are at major events Workforce Live, which has 6 annual events, each featuring 8 speakers, or Symposium. As another colleague mentions, “there never seems to be a question she can’t willingly find an answer for, nor a fire she won’t work to put out.

Mannat Mahtani - Digital Coordinator

Mannat Mahtani also embodies the spirit of the GEM Awards: her colleagues describe her as “always willing to go the extra mile, no matter how difficult the task.” When her team was temporarily down one team member, Mannat stepped in to help with lead generation. With her go-getter attitude and creative ideas, she has helped to streamline the overall process, ultimately turning out leads quicker than ever. Her teammates look forward to seeing what other tricks she has up her sleeves!

Frank Kalman - Managing Editor

This is Frank Kalman’s second GEM Award -- it’s clear that his teammates appreciate his hard work. Frank took charge of getting HCM’s new publication Talent Economy off the ground, creating a Medium page to help it gain early engagement and recording and editing HCM’s first podcast, Talent 10x. His teammates admire his excitement for the brand, and are sure his eagerness will help the brand start off strong.

Brian Lorenz - Account Executive

Brian Lorenz’s teammates showed their gratitude for him, nominating him for coordinating HCM’s participation in Operation Gratitude. Brian was a driving force in the planning and execution of the national program at HCM, which collects necessary items and letters appreciation to be sent in care packages to active U.S. Service Members, veterans, and their families.

Rick Bell - Editorial Director

When it comes to helping his coworkers, Rick Bell is always ready to go the extra mile. Rick’s teammates know they can rely upon him not only for great work, including helping to plug gaps during a transition period, but also for encouragement. He is always willing to step in and help with a word of friendly advice, a timely offer of assistance or a shout-out for a colleague who's doing great work.

Congratulations to the nominees! We appreciate all the work that you do, and can’t wait to see what you do next.
